The
Challenge.

Wavve Boating is a GPS navigation mobile app for boating enthusiasts. They already had a well-designed and developed app but lacked the online presence needed to successfully promote it.

WebMarketers were approached to help build a website that would perfectly reflect the app in an online experience and help draw in new customers: boat clubs across North America. The main challenge they were facing was that the app was only active in a limited number of locations. Users in areas the app did not serve would download it and promptly leave a negative review since it would not work for them. The website we build needed to address and eliminate this issue.

The
Strategy.

While their old website used high-quality images of boats on open water, which painted a great picture for the target audience, it did not connect well with what the message they were trying to send. Our goal with the new website was to integrate more graphics from the app to demonstrate through design and user interface what the product looked like and how it would benefit the user.

We wanted to create a visual and engaging experience that appealed to their target audience, matched the app styling, and provided seamless integration into the app.

03.

The
Design.

Since Wavve Boating already had an app with a very appealing design, our team embraced the existing branding while creating layouts for the new website. We kept it simple and clean to draw attention to the superimposed graphics of the app as the main focus.

04.

The
Development.

Our development team added a map integration to show locations the app was currently active. A members portal was also created which required a detailed API integration with their app infrastructure to seamlessly connect the website and the app.
