The
Challenge.

Develeko is an Ottawa-based construction and renovation company that specializes in custom projects. Their team gets involved in projects early on and assists heavily with the design stage since one of the founding partners is an architect.

WebMarketers were approached to design a custom website that would showcase their high-quality projects. They had their hearts set on a dark theme and a pitch deck already designed, so our team got to work on bringing their vision to life.

The
Strategy.

Knowing that Develeko’s main source of website traffic was from social media, we approached this website with a mobile-first mindset. We wanted this website to speak to the quality of work provided by Develeko, so we included bold design elements and unique UX/UI.

To accommodate their three customer profiles, we also decided to create an estimator tool and eBooks about their unique approach to construction that would be seamlessly integrated onto the homepage.

The
Design.

Our team kept two main factors in mind while working on the custom website design; it needed to be mobile-friendly, and it needed to showcase their high-quality work. In our designs, we incorporated a full-screen menu and a dynamic mobile experience for users. We designed large galleries that displayed their high-end portfolio of work in a bold way.

Since they served three main customer profiles, we made sure to include clear funnels to service pages to promote a seamless user experience. As a result, we presented Develeko with a sleek dark theme website that would differentiate them from their competitors.

04.

The
Development.

Once our designers completed the website mockups, our development team got started on building the website. We needed to ensure that the UI and the bold elements worked across a number of alternative devices.

Given the three customer profiles, we built three separate estimator tools. These custom estimators took users through a series of project-specific questions that provides Develeko with the information they need to calculate an estimate for their services. Many competitors use a standard four-question form that is meant to just get the client’s information. With our custom form, Develeko is able to qualify the leads that come in and gather the right pieces of information that will help them build a strong relationship with clients from the start.
